A simpler PandaDoc alternative — for people who send 1-50 proposals a year.
PandaDoc is a powerful platform built for sales teams sending hundreds of documents a month. If you're a solo founder, freelancer, or consultant sending under 50 proposals a year, a per-user monthly subscription is paying for features you don't use.
When PandaDoc is the right answer
- You need legally binding e-signatures — (DocuSign-equivalent)
- You send 50+ proposals a month — with consistent monthly volume
- You have a sales team — with shared templates and approval workflows
- You integrate with Salesforce or HubSpot — as part of a wider CRM stack
When proposalonce is enough
- You're a freelancer, consultant, coach, or solo founder
- You send 1-50 proposals a year
- Your clients are small businesses or individuals (not enterprise legal departments)
- You want an audit trail (timestamp, IP) but not full e-signature ceremony
- Subscription fatigue: you're tired of paying monthly for a tool you use a few times a year

FAQ
Can I import my PandaDoc templates?
Not directly. proposalonce has 6 hand-crafted templates — you'd pick one and adapt. If you have very custom content, paste it into the section bodies.
Does proposalonce do e-signatures?
We do an Accept button with IP and timestamp logging. That's an audit trail, not a legally binding signature. For most freelance work this is sufficient; for high-stakes contracts, layer DocuSign on top.
What does "watermarked" mean?
On the free tier, proposals show a small "Made with proposalonce" footer. Once you spend a credit ($5 per proposal), the watermark is removed for that proposal.
